Seeking an experienced team manager of software product Instructional Design to lead a talented team of five technical product learning content developers (i.e., instructional designers) tasked with creating customer technical training for our suite of Medidata products and solutions.

Lead, manage, and innovate the on-time and quality correct delivery of your team’s Learning Solutions Design deliverables, including successful fulfillment of activities involved in the planning, design, development, implementation, delivery, maintenance, and innovation of training and development programs used by Medidata customers, partners, and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the on-time and quality correct delivery of your team’s Learning Solutions Design deliverables, including successful fulfillment of activities involved in the planning, design, development, implementation, delivery, maintenance, and innovation of training and development programs used by Medidata customers, partners, and employees.
  • Manage the documentation of processes, workflows, and best practices in accordance with company standards. 
  • Join in partnership with other education, enablement, and training professionals to deliver effective core and integrated education materials that support all training initiatives aligned with organizational strategies and objectives.
  • Develop core framework components and learner personas requirements for education and training curricula, courses, learning content, and associated materials through close partnership with peers, colleagues, and company SMEs. On a continuous learning basis, integrate voice-of-the-customer (VOC) feedback into requirements and outcomes. 

Competencies: 

  • Familiarity with Life Sciences and clinical trial operations industry
  • Exceptional team/staff manager, leader, and role model for a team of Instructional Designers (5-6)
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, information mapping, persona development, learning path development
  • Skills and expertise in technical lesson and curriculum planning, video learning and development, eLearning and ILT course content development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn and understand software products and write structured course content in a consistent fashion, using content models and adhering to established governance models

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,750 to $153,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
