Product Manager – eCOA

We’re looking for an innovative and experienced Product Manager to support the strategic development and execution of Medidata’s market disrupting eCOA solution. The Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of product strategy, roadmap creation and maintenance, release scheduling, and liasing within the eCOA Product Team and across the company to ensure the success of the eCOA solution. This role is a key position within Medidata’s mHealth Product team, where we’re harnessing a quickly growing trend within the life sciences industry, to elevate the patient’s voice throughout the clinical trial process by enabling the capture of patient data in the real world and engaging patients to ensure a higher quality experience using modern and engaging technologies. You’ll play a central role in the team, helping us expand the use of our current products and innovating on new solutions that tap unmet patient and mobile clinical trial needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Represent the eCOA Product team internally, building cross-functional relationships and supporting colleagues using our eCOA technology.

Acts as a liaison between internal stakeholders and users of our eCOA technology, and engineering teams, to ensure the successful understanding, development and release of solutions to address specific use cases and needs.

Help define and own the product vision and maintain the product roadmap for Medidata’s eCOA solution.

Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, deliver, and maintain Medidata’s eCOA capabilities.

Partner with engineering leadership to plan, track, and drive execution of roadmap.

Be the voice and champion of your product to internal teams, management and clients

• Bachelors required, MBA or other master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in product management related to Life Sciences, Clinical Trial, or eClinicial software industry, preferably with eCOA experience
• Excellent product management skills, with an understanding of the skills needed to successfully deliver a product from inception to market
• Experience with pharma / life sciences drug development, including familiarity with the clinical research process and, ideally, patient engagement and clinical outcome assessments 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable presenting to Medidata Senior Leadership and executive / key buyer personnel at customers. 
• Experience leading SaaS products and Agile product development teams
• Agile experience strongly preferred
• Ability to interact with technical resources and translate business needs to a technical team; effectively communicate technical information and processes to relevant stakeholders
• Ability to interact with customer users to understand their pain points and turn those into actionable user stories and product plans
• Critical thinking: Analysis and problem solving skills to address core business problems; Ability to effectively evaluate a problem or situation from all angles to determine the most appropriate solution

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is  $135,000 to $154,189.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $141,750 to $189,000  .
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $118,500 to $158,000.
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $132,250 to $177,000 .
• The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $120,750 to $157,767.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
