The Program:
At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our talented and committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 22, 2023, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. United around a single goal of empowering smarter treatments and healthier people. Medidatians work in a culture of curiosity, innovation and fun. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.
Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.
The Position:
As the Digital Marketing Intern, you will work closely with the Web & Search team to implement digital initiatives to improve visibility and awareness of the Medidata brand. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of internal stakeholders including product marketing, demand generation, campaigns, creative services and marketing operations, gaining valuable experience managing multiple inputs into complex digital projects. Key responsibilities will include:

Managing intake of requests from internal stakeholders and coordinating with stakeholders and agency partners to ensure timely delivery

Participating in status meetings with external vendor partners and implementing actions to move forward with priority tasks

Participating in activities focused on optimizing digital performance, including analytics data reviews and technical audits

Assisting with the development of digital education sessions for Medidata global marketing colleagues

Developing a digital marketing dashboard to increase internal awareness of the digital marketing team’s activities

Undertaking competitive analysis and making recommendations for enhancements to medidata.com

Exploring digital marketing tools and making recommendations for how these tools can be used more effectively

Assisting in website updates to support product, demand, and global marketing
Your Competencies:
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple projects against tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Interested in the life sciences industry
- Basic knowledge of digital technologies including WordPress, Google Analytics
Project Description:
This project will involve reviewing quarterly web & search performance reports, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and making recommendations for improving the process of reporting and cross-team collaboration for the remainder of the year
The intern will work alongside a range of internal stakeholders including product marketing, demand generation, campaigns, creative services and marketing operations, gaining valuable experience managing multiple inputs into complex digital projects
This project will allow the intern to build valuable skills working with internal stakeholders and third party agency partners, discovering needs and identifying opportunities to resolve those needs. The project will also involve gathering feedback on reports and campaigns, making recommendations for improvements, and working with the digital team to implement prioritized tasks.
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $25 - $28 per hour with a $3500 sign on bonus.
