Medidata Earns Top Score in Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index

Medidata earns 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s annual assessment of LGBTQ+ workplace equality

February 2, 2022 -   Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes company, has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). Medidata’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria earned the designation as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality. The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. 

“As we work to support the inclusion of diverse patients in clinical trials, we know that supporting equality among our own employees needs to be at the forefront,” said Naveen Bhateja, chief people officer at Medidata. “This is the fourth consecutive year we have earned this distinction and we thank the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for their tireless work to help guide organizations like ours to continue to improve workplace policies and practices.”

Medidata joins the ranks of 842 major U.S. businesses that earned top marks this year, out of 1,271 participating organizations.

“When the Human Rights Campaign Foundation created the CEI 20 years ago, we dreamed that LGBTQ+ workers—from the factory floor to corporate headquarters, in big cities and small towns—could have access to the policies and benefits needed to thrive and live life authentically,” said Jay Brown, Human Rights Campaign Senior Vice President of Programs, Research and Training. “We are proud that the CEI paved the way to that reality for countless LGBTQ+ workers in America and abroad.”

 

The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:

  •       Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  •       Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
  •       Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  •       Corporate social responsibility.
