Medidata Academy Announces New, Updated and Retired Courses for Patient Cloud

Medidata Academy is excited to announce new, updated and retired eLearning training courses for Patient Cloud! These courses all incorporate changes reflected in the following releases:

  • Patient Cloud iOS 2019.2.0
  • Patient Cloud Android 2019.2.0
  • Rave Wearable Sensors 2019.1.0
  • Patient Cloud Settings 2019.1.0
  • Patient Cloud Registration 2019.1.0

Please review the following details closely to ensure all Patient Cloud stakeholders are enrolled in the necessary courses. The new and updated courses are listed in the Course Catalog, and available via iMedidata for clients. Retired courses are no longer available to search in the Course Catalog and will need to be 'unmapped' from any client URL (see details below).

In addition to eLearning courses, several training materials (QRCs) were updated. Client access to these updated documents is Coming Soon!

All new and updated materials are currently available in English.

New Courses

Medidata Patient Cloud: Registering Your Subject in an ePRO Study

This course is designed for study managers and site users who support or manage Patient Cloud ePRO studies.
Attendees will learn the complete registration process for a new subject in an ePRO study, including:

  • How to Create a Subject in Rave EDC
  • How to Register Your Subject using Patient Cloud Registration
  • How to Activate an ePRO Subject Account Using the mobile app
  • How to login to the mobile app for the first time

*This course provides all ePRO subject registration workflow configurations, including using either version of Rave EDC and either version of the Patient Cloud mobile app.

Note: This course is replacing two (2) previously available courses, now considered retired. Action is required to support clients and ensure they do not enroll in  duplicate training content on their URL. For additional information for Project Managers and Services on 'unmapping', see the retired courses section at the end of this announcement.

Medidata Patient Cloud Release Training (2019 R2)

This course is designed for study builders, site users and administrators who support or manage Patient Cloud studies.
This eLearning will provide a brief overview of the above releases, and attendees will learn about:

  • The Patient Cloud Settings selection for registration workflow
  • The Patient Cloud Settings SensorLink tab settings for configuring the Compliance Dashboard for Fitbit devices
  • The ‘Registration Support’ role for Patient Cloud Registration
  • The alternate ePRO PIN-only subject registration workflow

Updated Courses

Medidata Patient Cloud for Study Builders: Configuring Your Study - UPDATED

This course has been updated to include:

  • The new Settings selection that allows builders to choose a subject registration workflow
  • The new eCOA tab user interface changes and the renaming of some selection options

We strongly recommend this revised course to you as it would benefit all users to familiarize themselves with the course updates.

This course replaced the existing course of the same name on iMedidata starting 4 April 2019, and has no impact on current course completions or study access for clients.

Medidata Patient Cloud for Study Builders: Testing Your ePRO Study Build - UPDATED

This course has been updated to include:

  • The new Patient Cloud iOS and Android app user interface (current app only)
  • All Patient Cloud subject registration workflow options, including the new option that does not require subject email in either version of Rave EDC, and using either version of the Patient Cloud mobile app
  • Reviewing subject reported data in both versions of Rave EDC

  • Branching option for study builders to learn to create ClinRO forms
  • REMOVED: How to create a ClinRO User in iMedidata and Cloud Administration

  • Branching option for study builders to learn to create Site Mode forms
  • REMOVED: How to create a Site Mode User in iMedidata and Cloud Administration

This course has been renamed and replaced the existing course previously titled: Medidata Patient Cloud SensorLink Registration and Patient Management in the Course Catalog as well as on iMedidata starting 4 April 2019, and has no impact on current course completions or study access for clients.

This course is now available in English through iMedidata.

Retired Courses

Medidata Patient Cloud Registering Your Subjects - RETIRED

Medidata Patient Cloud: ePRO Subject Registration - RETIRED

Both of these courses have been retired and have been replaced by ONE new course:

  • Medidata Patient Cloud: Registering Your Subject in an ePRO Study (see NEW courses section in this announcement).

The retired courses will no longer appear in the Course Catalog and should no longer be requested for new URLs starting 4 April 2019. Users that completed one or both of the retired courses will see no impact on their course completions or study access.

ACTION REQUIRED TO UNMAP RETIRED COURSES

We strongly encourage 'unmapping' these retired courses to avoid duplicate training content on existing URLs. Please note the following details:

  • The new course will not be automatically made available on URLs, and access will need to be requested
  • Once the 'retired' courses have been unmapped, then access can be removed from the study group.

Additional Training Content - COMING SOON!

In collaboration with TCS, the Patient Cloud Central Knowledge Space will be updated to reflect new and updated content including Quick Reference Cards (QRCs) and Show Me Videos (SMVs) available for users.
