About the Team:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Transformation Advisor, Life Sciences to help grow our business in North America by shaping and advancing strategic manufacturing opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech, and related life sciences customers.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing role for someone who combines deep life sciences manufacturing expertise with strong advisory, problem-solving, and commercial skills. You will act as a trusted advisor to customer leaders, helping them define and pursue transformation priorities across manufacturing science, technology transfer, operational performance, quality, and broader digital manufacturing capabilities.
You will work closely with account teams, solution specialists, technical experts, and leadership to create pipeline, shape complex opportunities, and convert them into measurable business growth. This role carries clear sales responsibility and requires someone who can engage credibly with senior executives while also bringing the functional depth to guide strategic manufacturing conversations.

Key Responsibilities

Build and execute a go-to-market strategy to grow Medidata’s life sciences manufacturing business in North America
-
Identify, qualify, shape, and advance strategic manufacturing opportunities across a defined territory and account set
-
Partner with account teams to develop account plans, customer engagement strategies, and opportunity pursuit plans

Engage senior customer stakeholders, including operational, technical, digital, and executive leaders, on their manufacturing transformation priorities

Lead consultative discussions, workshops, and working sessions to uncover customer needs, frame business problems, and shape solution approaches

Translate customer challenges into compelling value-led solution narratives across manufacturing, quality, and related platform capabilities

Drive pipeline creation and support deal progression through the full sales cycle in partnership with sales leadership and cross-functional teams

Deliver high-quality presentations and business discussions from practitioner level through to C-suite

Act as a trusted advisor on key life sciences manufacturing topics such as technology transfer, process scalability, operational performance, plant/network agility, and digital manufacturing transformation

Collaborate across sales, solution consulting, product, marketing, services, and partner teams to strengthen customer messaging, solution relevance, and deal execution

Support strategic proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and executive-level business cases

Represent Medidata / Dassault Systèmes in customer forums, industry events, conferences, and thought leadership activities

Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to help refine strategy and priorities
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

Strong expertise in life sciences manufacturing, ideally spanning areas such as manufacturing science and technology, technology transfer, process development, digital manufacturing, operational excellence, or quality/manufacturing transformation

Ability to engage credibly with senior customer stakeholders and bring executive presence in complex customer environments
-
Strong structured problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ambiguous customer challenges into practical, value-led opportunities

Proven experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, advisory, solution leadership, business development, or enterprise sales within life sciences
-
Demonstrated success influencing or supporting complex sales pursuits, transformation programs, or strategic account growth
-
Strong communication, storytelling, and workshop facilitation skills
-
Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment and mobilize internal teams around customer opportunities
-
Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to operate independently in a growth-oriented environment

Comfort working at the intersection of business, operations, and technology
Preferred Experience
-
10+ years of experience in life sciences manufacturing, consulting, transformation, solution advisory, enterprise software, or related customer-facing positions
-
Experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMO, or medtech customers
-
Experience with manufacturing systems, digital platforms, integrations, and/or broader manufacturing technology ecosystems
-
Experience selling or supporting enterprise software or complex transformation solutions using a structured value-based sales approach
-
Experience working with system integrators, alliance partners, resellers, or technology partners
-
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field preferred
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,000-$155,000
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
