About the Team:

The Senior Accountant, Revenue is a key individual contributor on the Revenue Accounting team, responsible for the accuracy and integrity of revenue recognition, sales compensation accounting, and the monthly and quarterly close cycle. Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, this individual works within a structured accounting organization that includes dedicated teams for operational accounting, revenue accounting, and technical accounting.

This is a high-ownership role for a detail-oriented, intellectually curious accountant who enjoys working at the intersection of complex revenue transactions, close operations, and audit support. The right candidate will bring strong technical accounting instincts, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role offers meaningful exposure to complex revenue accounting under IFRS 15, a collaborative team environment, and a clear path for growth within a well-structured accounting organization.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Accounting

  • Execute operational revenue accounting activities in accordance with IFRS 15, ensuring accurate recognition of subscription, professional services, and other revenue streams
  • Prepare and post monthly revenue journal entries, including deferred revenue, contract asset, and contract liability movements
  • Maintain and reconcile revenue subledger accounts, ensuring alignment with the general ledger
  • Support the ongoing deferred revenue subledger data integrity review through disciplined reconciliation and documentation practices
  • Assist in the preparation and review of revenue-related schedules and disclosures for parent company reporting

Sales Compensation Accounting

  • Own the accounting for sales compensation, including commission expense accruals and capitalized contract cost amortization under IFRS 15
  • Maintain contract cost asset rollforwards and ensure accuracy and completeness of amortization schedules
  • Coordinate with the Sales Operations and FP&A teams to ensure commission data is complete, accurate, and properly reflected in the financial statements
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between supporting schedules and the accounting records

Monthly & Quarterly Close

  • Execute assigned close tasks accurately and on schedule, supporting the team's adherence to the close calendar
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for revenue and sales compensation accounts
  • Support fluctuation analysis and variance explanations for revenue-related accounts
  • Collaborate with the broader accounting team on interdependencies between revenue and operational accounting close activities

Audit Support

  • Serve as a primary preparer for internal and external audit requests related to revenue and sales compensation
  • Prepare audit schedules, support documentation, and respond to auditor inquiries in a timely and organized manner
  • Maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation standards throughout the year
  • Support the Director of Technical Accounting on any revenue-related technical accounting inquiries that arise during audit

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting processes, including automation where appropriate
  • Contribute to ongoing subledger remediation and reporting process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with systems and IT teams on ERP-related projects that affect revenue accounting workflows

Qualifications:

Required

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to revenue accounting in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS 15 (or ASC 606) revenue recognition principles
  • Experience with monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet recurring deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and Excel

Preferred

  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure — strongly preferred
  • Experience with sales commission accounting and capitalized contract cost amortization under IFRS 15 / ASC 340-40
  • Familiarity with revenue subledger management and reconciliation in complex multi-element arrangement environments
  • Big 4 or public accounting experience
  • Experience supporting external audits in a senior preparer capacity
  • Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools used in accounting operations

What We Offer:

This role sits within a revenue accounting team that is investing in its people, processes, and systems. The right candidate will find:

  • A team that is stabilizing with strong new hires and a leadership team committed to building the right foundation
  • Active investment in process improvement and automation — this team is building, not just maintaining
