Event features Medidata Experiences for accelerating study timelines, streamlining data management, and improving decision making for clinical trials

Shanghai, China – 5 September, 2025Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand and leading provider of clinical trial solutions to the life sciences industry, today kicked off NEXT Shanghai. This year’s conference celebrates the 10th anniversary of Medidata China’s official founding and highlights how the AI-driven Medidata Experiences are shaping the future of clinical trials and supporting the research lifecycle, from initial development to final commercialization.

This year’s conference features several leading industry speakers, including Jingjun Qiu, PhD from Fosun Pharma, Shuqiao Zhang from Zhang Shuqiao from the Medical and Health Industry Sub-center of the National Industrial Internet Big Data Center, China Academy of Industrial Internet and Jian Wang from Center for Healthcare Big Data, China Academy of Industrial Internet. Medidata chief operating officer, Joe Schmidt, and chief strategy officer, Lisa Moneymaker, will also reveal how the Medidata Experiences, further enriched by the Medidata Platform of AI Everywhere, represent a shift toward a more holistic approach to clinical trials by engaging patients longitudinally, before and after their participation in clinical research, and by connecting and managing all data sources throughout the research spectrum.

NEXT Shanghai also includes three breakout sessions: Data and Patient Experience – Patient-Centric Clinical Data Governance; Study Experience – Quality by Design and Clinical Operational Excellence; and, Pharma/Device R&D and Virtual Twin. Additionally, the event has an innovation theater and hands-on practice and demonstrations related to the implementation of innovative technologies and practical operations.
