About the Team:
As a key member of Corporate Technology, you will work in a culture of innovation and partner with experienced technology professionals with deep technical experience who are committed to delivering efficient, technology-based solutions. You will lead the modernization of our data landscape, bridging traditional ETL/Data Warehousing with cutting-edge Generative AI and agentic automation.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and Implement: Gain proficiency in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) to help develop and automate ETL processes.
- Data Integration: Assist in building data pipelines that connect RDBMS, flat files, and Cloud Web Service Endpoints.
- Documentation: Help create and maintain clear technical documentation for system integrations and data workflows.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to learn how solutions integrate into corporate infrastructure.
- Data Handling: Use foundational SQL knowledge to query, troubleshoot, and manage data across various platforms.
- Agile Adaptability: Manage individual task deadlines and adapt to changing project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- AI Innovation: Support the development of AI agents within the AWS ecosystem using frameworks like LangChain to explore new system capabilities.
- Process Automation: Help build and test GenAI-powered workflows designed to streamline internal business tasks.
Qualifications:
Education & Core Requirements
- Current Student or Recent Graduate: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Strong Theoretical Foundation: Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and Business Intelligence.
Technical Skills
- Data Integration: Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica or Python-based ETL libraries) through coursework, bootcamps, or prior internships.
- Database Proficiency: Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
- AI & Machine Learning: Academic or project-based experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) and Generative AI.
Preferred Attributes
- Self-Starter: A portfolio of personal projects or GitHub repositories demonstrating hands-on experimentation with AI agents.
- Problem Solver: Ability to navigate ambiguous technical challenges and a "builder" mindset.
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Metropark is $79,500-$106,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
