About the Team:
The Patient Insights Program Analyst plays a critical support role on the Office of Social Impact and Engagement Team, working directly alongside the Patient Insights Program Director to advance Medidata's mission of placing patients at the center of clinical trial design and execution.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, people-oriented professional with a passion for healthcare and life sciences who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You do not need a technical background, your strengths in project coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement are what matter most.
Responsibilities:
Patient Advisory Board & Focus Group Support
- Coordinate scheduling, communications, and logistics for Patient Insights Board and the Experience Design teams.
- Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and follow-up documentation for patient advisory sessions
- Maintain and update rosters of patient advocates, advocacy organizations, and focus group participants
- Track action items and ensure timely follow-through across stakeholders
Patient Engagement Program Operations
- Support day-to-day operations of the Patient Centricity by Design program under the direction of the Program Director
- Help onboard and support patient advocates and focus group participants for ongoing product initiatives
- Coordinate across internal teams (product, design, research) to align schedules and facilitate patient touchpoints
- Monitor program milestones, flag risks, and help maintain program timelines
- Support patient community platform to build on insights and increase our patient advocacy network
Stakeholder & Community Coordination
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with patient advocacy groups across therapeutic areas including Oncology, CNS, Diabetes, and Rare Diseases
- Act as a point of contact for patient advocates and community partners, ensuring a positive and respectful engagement experience
- Support coordination of customer advisory board sessions on behalf of the Patient Insights team as needed

Help organize and prepare materials for external thought leadership events and panels
Research & Insights Support
- Assist with gathering and synthesizing patient feedback from advisory sessions, surveys, and focus groups
- Help compile research findings and insights summaries to support the Program Director of Patient Engagement
- Track emerging trends in patient engagement and the clinical trial landscape and share relevant findings with the team
- Support the development of reports and presentations for senior leadership
Administrative & Project Management
- Maintain organized records, shared documentation, and project tracking tools (e.g., Wrike, Confluence, or similar)
- Manage calendars, coordinate across time zones, and draft communications on behalf of the program
- Process honoraria, reimbursements, and other administrative needs for patient advocates
- Support annual planning cycles and strategic project workstreams as needed
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required
- 2-4 years of experience in program coordination, project management, nonprofit operations, patient advocacy, or a related field
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting professional materials and stakeholder communications
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, matrixed environments
- Proficiency with productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar)

A genuine passion for improving patient experiences in healthcare or clinical research
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with patient advocacy organizations, healthcare nonprofits, or community health programs
- Familiarity with clinical trials, life sciences, or health technology industries
- Experience supporting advisory boards, councils, or community advisory committees
- Background in healthcare, public health, social work, or a related field
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company environment

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in New York is $66,000- $88,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
