The Program:

At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our talented and committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 18, 2026, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.

Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.

About the team:

This internship sits at the center of Medidata's data infrastructure investment within the commercial organization. The GTM Analytics & Data Infrastructure Intern will partner with Segment Operations and sales leadership to document the optimal orchestration of roles, activities, and engagement cadences across the opportunity lifecycle. Working within the AI, Automation & Analytics team, they will then oversee the design and implementation of the Salesforce data infrastructure needed to capture that information at scale.

The work produced this summer will directly enable future data science and machine learning initiatives, including pipeline behavior analysis and predictive deal-scoring models. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with real deliverables that will be operationalized by the Revenue Operations team after the internship concludes.

Responsibilities:

The intern will be responsible for the following workstreams over the course of the 12-week engagement:

GTM Orchestration Framework

•Partner with Segment Operations and sales leadership to document the optimal involvement of seller, solutions consultant, and specialist roles at each stage of the opportunity lifecycle

•Define recommended engagement cadences, activity types, and customer-facing touchpoints by pipeline stage

•Produce a structured, stakeholder-validated framework document suitable for operational rollout

Data Capture Requirements & Gap Analysis

• Identify the data points that must be captured at each pipeline stage to support future analytics and machine learning applications

•Conduct a gap analysis against what is currently logged in Salesforce CRM

•Produce a prioritized specification of new fields, activity logging standards, and process changes required

Salesforce Data Infrastructure Implementation

•Design and configure Salesforce fields, activity logging structures, and validation rules to capture the defined data points going forward

•Produce technical documentation enabling the Revenue Operations team to maintain and extend the infrastructure post-internship

•Ensure all implementation decisions are made with long-term data science usability as a primary design constraint

Qualifications:

·Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field

·Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.

·Ability to translate ambiguous, qualitative inputs into organized, logical frameworks

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting findings to professional audiences

·Proficiency in Python and SQL

·Exposure to machine learning concepts or data science coursework

·Ability to manage competing inputs from multiple stakeholders while maintaining clear project scope

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in ((New York, NY)) As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than ((New York)), may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base hourly pay range for this position is $((25.00)) an hour.
