Medidata Further Transforms Its Data Experience for Sites, Sponsors, and Contract Research Organizations

Unveils enhanced features that streamline the data experience, minimize manual tasks, accelerate timelines, and empower study teams to make data-driven decisions

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand and leading provider of clinical trial solutions to the life sciences industry, today announced new enhancements to the Medidata Data Experience, all accessible on the Medidata Platform

“These advancements will further revolutionize the clinical trial journey, delivering better data quality, more informed decision-making, and expedited study timelines,” said Wayne Walker, senior vice president, Data Experience, Medidata. “By transforming study build with AI, simplifying data management workflows, and providing deeper insights, we’re uniquely positioned to fully support sites, sponsors, and CROs as they look to deliver breakthrough therapies to patients and improve lives.”

Enhanced Rave EDC Workflows

Built and accessible on the Medidata Platform, the improved version of Medidata Rave EDC redefines efficiency with a new robust, simplified user interface including personalized filters and dashboard views, user role-based preferences, and fast access navigation. This enables sites, sponsors, and CROs to complete more tasks in a shorter period of time.

AI-Powered Study Build Capability

Medidata has launched its first iteration of AI-powered study build solutions in Medidata Designer. Featuring data validation checks that can be automatically generated by AI, this tool has been shown in tests to be over 50% faster than manual configuration. Additionally, this version better supports the electronic data capture (EDC) study build process, now giving access to embedded workflows for all study design stakeholders, not just study builders.

Faster Completion of EDC Forms with EHR Data

Medidata Rave Companion, working with Medidata Health Record Connect (HRC), enables clinical trial sites to leverage their electronic health record (EHR) data directly within their existing Rave EDC workflows to complete their work faster, more efficiently, and with higher quality. Unlike other EHR-to-EDC solutions, Medidata’s solution requires no installation, no costly and time-consuming per-study mapping, and no need to learn a new tool or workflow.

Expanded Coding Decisions

Medidata Rave Coder+, an AI-assisted medical coding tool, is now trained on over 90 million coding decisions, saving an estimated 70 hours per 1,000 verbatim terms to be standardized. The latest update also includes synonym and study upversioning as well as a coding approval workflow.

Ongoing Patient Insights

Now seamlessly embedded in Rave EDC, the new version of Medidata Link gives sponsors the ability to access real world data allowing a continuous view of each participant’s journey – before, during, and long after the trial. As a result, study teams can generate deeper evidence and unlock rich real-world insights that contextualize findings, reveal long-term outcomes and healthcare utilization, and power smarter decisions across development, access, and regulatory strategies.
