About the Team:
The Senior Project Manager, Product Marketing, plays a critical role in ensuring that Medidata’s product marketing initiatives are delivered on time, aligned cross-functionally, and executed with a high standard of quality. You will own the orchestration of complex launch plans, content development timelines, event deliverables, cross-functional coordination, and governance rhythms that support the full product marketing team and leadership.
In this role, you will help ensure disciplined execution across content creation, go-to-market activities, thought leadership campaigns, product announcements and launches, analyst engagement deliverables, demo programs, event and conference management, as well as deliverables and messaging/positioning rollouts. You will interface with Product, Offering Management, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Analyst Relations, Strategy, and Commercial teams to keep programs aligned, tracked, and accelerated.
You are comfortable creating structure where there is ambiguity, proactively spotting risks, and unblocking teams so product marketers can focus on strategy, storytelling, and field impact.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a fast-growing organization within the clinical trials space. The candidate should also be a self-starter who can strategize and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Project & Program Management

Collaborate on structured project plans for product marketing initiatives, including launch readiness, positioning rollouts, sales enablement packages, and thought leadership assets.
- Create and maintain project timelines, communication plans, milestone tracking, and status reporting dashboards.
- Establish operating rhythms (kickoffs, check-ins, stakeholder reviews, retrospectives) to keep teams aligned and accountable.
- Manage intake, prioritization, and capacity planning of product marketing requests.

Manage event deliverables and timelines, including NEXT content and delivery
- Serve as the connective layer across Product, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Offering Management, Analyst Relations, and Communications.
- Coordinate hand-offs, dependencies, and approvals to ensure on-time delivery of key materials.

Collaborate with Analyst Relations and Product Marketing to coordinate inbound requests
- Proactively identify project risks such as resource constraints, messaging misalignment, timeline slippage, and dependency gaps.
- Escalate blockers thoughtfully with solution-oriented recommendations.

Track decisions, owners, and action items to drive operational clarity.
- Manage Highspot governance for inbound license requests, content approval, and oversight of dated materials to be updated
- Introduce scalable best practices for campaign delivery, launch readiness reviews, and content lifecycle management.
- Support budget oversight and vendor coordination where relevant.
- Develop and maintain program dashboards that measure progress, resourcing, and deliverable status.
- Present updates to Product Marketing leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of project/program management experience, preferably supporting SaaS, life sciences, clinical trials, or enterprise technology.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional programs with multiple senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of go-to-market motions, product launch processes, and content development workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to bring order to ambiguity, simplify complexity, and structure programs end-to-end.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Expertise with project management tooling (Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, etc.).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills; detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
- Background in AI-enabled product environments.
- Experience supporting product marketing or commercial teams directly preferred
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position located in New York is $96,000-$128,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
