About the Team:

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our Greater China marketing team. Reporting to the Greater China Marketing Manager, this role will be part of the broader APAC Life Science Marketing, PR and Business Development team.  Our team strives to deliver end to end high performing omni platform initiatives that drive positive business outcomes across different customer segments with region relevant content to generate and accelerate opportunities.  The types of programmatic execution include digital assets, webinars and workshops as well as internal, partner and customer facing activities.

This Individual Contributor role will be responsible for executing and reporting on a spectrum of marketing activities encompassing awareness, nurturing and pipeline programs.  This role will also require the individual to contribute to the development and implementation of our Greater China marketing initiatives, working with the region/ global marketing and cross functional stakeholders locally to increase the effectiveness of these campaigns through cross functional planning.

We are looking for a self starter, experienced marketer.  This individual should possess strong organizational, execution, program management, and problem-solving skills who values strong partnerships in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.  Prior agency marketing experience with clients in an IT company or marketing experience in an IT company is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Own event planning process including ideation, budget planning, timelines, communications across audience and stakeholders, post event metrics reporting and follow up.
  • Ensure flawless execution across demand generation programs such as webinars, tradeshows, customer and partner events aligning with the overall Greater China Marketing plan including Taiwan.
  • Organize content requirements, propose recommendations for relevant content appropriate for the activity & Greater China customer landscape to support the marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with APAC product marketing and agency to localize marketing assets and content.
  • Manage 3rd party agencies before, during and after the event on tracking budget, registrations, logistics and digital landing pages.
  • Plan campaigns like email, social media and digital/inbound marketing programs working closely with the APAC regional teams.
  • Execute on post event and campaigns activities including uploads into SFDC, analyze the reports and showcase success and learnings.
  • Other marketing related projects or tasks assigned.
  • Up to 20% travel

Qualifications:

  • Events and campaign country execution experience, collaborating with stakeholders and working with external speakers, 3rd party agencies, and managing events onsite (physical or virtual).
  • Successful experiences in executing & tracking marketing plans and programs utilizing email, webinars, face-to-face events and social media.
  • Ability to plan independently, outlining requests and identifying roadblocks and problem resolution.
  • Highly organised and have knowledge of marketing processes and automation systems.
  • Experience interfacing with all levels in a Sales organization including account managers, technical consultants and senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills to bring together stakeholders from disparate functional groups to enable smooth program execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Meticulous organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated, possess a can-do attitude, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong work ethic, high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information.
  • A true team player focused on achieving results with excellence.
  • Flexibility and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SFDC, Eloqua and creating reporting templates.
  • Experience in either life sciences / pharmaceutical sector or technology industry, or event agency is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Business, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in B2B events management, field marketing, demand generation or marketing program role.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
