About the Team:

You will report to the VP, Sales Operations APAC and we collaborate with Global/Regional Account Managers, Sales Management, and the Professional Services team to support pricing activities, prepare proposals, draft statements of work, Sales Orders (SO) and Change Orders (CO) and support the financial aspects of RFI/RFP responses. We are looking for an understanding of Medidata’s pricing structure and involves working with our teams and customers to provide guidance on pricing-related matters

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection of assumptions and parameters required for detailed pricing of Medidata’s software and services.

  •  Develop proposals and contracts (SO and CO) using our pricing tool and pricing methodology.

  • Conduct and participate in pricing meetings with internal customers.

  • Facilitate required approvals by appropriate management for pricing adjustments and sales order delivery.

  • Work with Legal department staff to expedite legal approval of final sales order as required.

  • Maintain customer specific guidelines for unique customer pricing and/or sales order formats.

  • Facilitate regular updates and maintenance to the pricing tool and contractual templates.

  • Create reports using CRM system and maintain system to strengthen Sales Intelligence.

  • Help with ad hoc projects and projects.

  • Initial focus will be on bids activities, followed by contracts after gaining sufficient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Saleforce.com, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Visual Basic for Applications, macros and advanced security techniques are a plus.

  • Solid analytical and negotiation skills

  • Command of fluent English and Chinese (read/write/speak)

  • Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences, Business, Finance or Computer Science

  • 2 years relevant working experience or equivalent relevant experience

  • Contract management experience within CROs or other application software providers preferred.

  • MNC experience working in cross-functional setup
