About the Team:

We are seeking a Quality & Regulatory Solution Specialist to support our Life Sciences business in North America related to Quality and Regulatory. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and be an important growth driver for our life sciences business. Beyond driving incremental revenue for the organization, this role will set the dialogue in the marketplace by working in concert with Research & Development, Marketing (Field & Product), Market Development, Business Development, Professional Services, Value Engineering and the Sales team. You will work alongside other leaders to develop specific strategic account plans and further Quality & Regulatory solutions for clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a sales strategy to build our life sciences quality & regulatory business and increase market share.
  • Identify new pipeline opportunities and development and execute sales cycles across your territory and portfolio
  • Build relationships with customer contacts specific to your territory, including senior leaders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, from a user to a C-level perspective
  • Generate and qualify identified quality & regulatory opportunities in life sciences.
  • Coordinate resources within sales and other departments.
  • Spearhead innovative thinking and organization transformation with customer leaders.
  • Lead brainstorming and workshopping drive solutioning and end-to-end vision collaboratively with client stakeholders
  • Aid in supporting, establishing and managing applicable marketing and outreach activities such as webinars, conference attendance and presentation, customer and industry events, white papers, etc.
  • Provide thought leadership and insights on key trends, challenges, needs, and solutions in the Life Sciences industry as it relates to Quality & Regulatory.
  • Drive solution development
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction in RFX responses and proposals as applicable - share critical strategic points and executive level insights / solution scoping
  • Collaborate cross functionally with the broader team to provide insights on customer specific needs and messaging.
  • Provide customer and industry input to drive strategy and product development priorities
  • Maintain an understanding of our Quality & Regulatory capabilities and portfolio, including product functionality, client usage, and competitive landscape
  • Research and explore of industry trends and prospect's core challenges
  • Provide ongoing feedback and competitive intelligence to the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Manufacturing in Life Sciences
  • Experience with system integrations as well as manufacturing processes and systems
  • 10 years experience in consulting, strategic guidance, system integrations, and working with C-Suite Executives in the Life Science space.
  • BS, M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Industrial & Operations Engineering, Pharmaceutical or related fields preferred
  • Experience in selling enterprise software following a structured, value-based sales process
  • Have strong interpersonal and problem solving skills - be highly self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a larger team
  • Experience working with technology partners, resellers, alliances, and system integrators.
  • Have a collaborative and inclusive working style that builds on our strengths and uses the team's expertise.
  • Understand complex life science companies and have the ability to navigate in a complex environment.
  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to work across multiple clients and internal partners.Must be able to travel (40-80%) including overnight and international travel as required

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,000-$155,000

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
