About the Role:

The Workday Senior Analyst performs a key role in leading the operational functions of Workday as well as continually optimizing Medidata’s HR technology solutions. This position will collaborate with HR Leadership to establish and maintain the HR Technology roadmap, provide expertise, project management, maintenance, testing, and training of Workday and HR Technology solutions. This position will serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional area and assist with ensuring data integrity, build downstream system integrations, reporting and execute process improvements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of day-to-day Workday HCM operations.
  • Provide system support, user training, and maintain up-to-date documentation for all end users.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Workday HCM, Security, and Reporting modules.
  • Manage PeopleSoft to Workday integration error logs, ensuring data quality through regular audits and monitoring.
  • Develop and deliver Workday reports, calculated fields, and dashboards tailored for end users and audit requirements.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, offering data-driven recommendations for system or process improvements and identifying automation opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate across teams and systems, demonstrating the ability to operate within a multi-tool HR technology ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6–7 years of total professional experience.
  • 4–5 years of hands-on Workday HCM experience, preferably in a global enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise in Workday HCM, including Security, Reporting, and Calculated Fields.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST)
    • PeopleSoft
    • Workday Studio
    • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
    • Workday Report Writer
  • Familiarity with Workday Workforce Planning using Adaptive Insights or similar tools is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, especially for reporting and large dataset manipulation.

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Strong business analysis, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Workday Certifications are preferred.

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for this position that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $79,500-120,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
