About the Team:
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for optimizing sales processes, supporting field sales, maintaining data integrity, and collaborating across functional teams on strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, thrives on problem-solving, and works closely with sales leadership to improve performance, reporting, and overall efficiencies
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Data Loader), ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
- Equip sales teams with tools, training, and technical support to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Partner with the compensation team to roll out quarterly territory alignment
- Oversee internal processes including contract terminations, quote generation, and data synchronization across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and refine sales tools and processes that drive productivity and performance.
- Deliver accurate, timely sales reporting and insights to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and process improvements to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Develop & maintain documentation, playbooks, and process guides to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Support the onboarding and training of new sales team members on systems and processes.
- Work with sales users to ensure compliance with company policies & data governance standards
Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or business operations.
- Proficiency with CRM and reporting platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, data loader), with strong attention to data accuracy and integrity
- Experience supporting sales teams with tools, training, and process optimization.
- Knowledge of territory management, incentive/compensation processes, and sales workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, marketing, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on many factors including function, level, candidate experience, and geographic location. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $55,000 - $74,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
