Medidata Rave Study Design and Build Essentials (SDBE) – eCOA

This course teaches study builders how to configure, design, and build mobile eCOA studies using Patient Cloud Settings and Rave Architect. Attendees will also learn how to test eCOA study build using Rave EDC, Patient Cloud Registration, and the Patient Cloud mobile app.

Medidata Rave Study Design and Build Essentials (SDBE) – Data Managers

Medidata Rave Study Design and Build Essentials – Data Managers (SDBE for DM) focuses on the Rave fundamentals required to manage and maintain a study. This course focuses on the basic Rave fundamentals required to develop and update the eCRFs of a study. Attendees will learn basic eCRF development skills, simple data validation development skills, and be introduced to tips and practices for study design. They will also be exposed to functionality in additional modules such as Global Library (to facilitate the reuse of study components ) and Architect Loader (for offline editing and study transfer).

Medidata Rave Study Design and Build Essentials (SDBE) – Data Validations

As a supplement to the Medidata Rave Study Design and Build Essentials – Data Managers course, this instructor-led course focuses on additional functionality in the Architect module. Attendees will learn advanced data validation development skills and techniques for edit checks and derivations. This course also emphasizes the use of the Global Library and Architect Loader utilities to facilitate the reuse of study components.

Medidata Rave eCOA Site Workflow and Subject Registration

This course teaches site users the end to end Site Workflow and Subject Registration for standard eCOA studies using examples.

Rave Configuration

In this course, you will learn how to specify settings that will be applied across the entire Rave application.

Settings include:

  • Defining the EDC Roles and Pre-conditions
  • Configuring Other Settings such as Subject Status, Field Edit Checks and User
  • Specifying styles and colors within the user interface

Medidata Rave Clinical Views Overview

The purpose of the Clinical Views feature in Rave is to provide users with a method to browse up-to-date subject data entered into Rave through a simple, tabular format.

During the Clinical Views Overview training, attendees will learn what clinical views are and how they are built and impacted by project changes.  Additionally, attendees will learn how to configure clinical view projects, schedules, and settings.

Best Practices: Rave Study Build and Global Library Management

This course reviews and introduces best practices for the study planning and building process. Attendees will learn best practices for:

  • Identifying the best starting point for a study
  • Form design and structure
  • Use of logs and dynamics for data collection
  • Use of field attributes
  • Development and maintenance of Global Libraries
  • Use of Architect Loader vs. online study development
  • Best practices around the use of edit check actions and functions, derivations and custom functions
  • Output considerations
  • Study build considerations for usage with other Medidata modules
  • Core Configuration and Security settings

This course is taught on the latest released version of Rave.

Amendment Manager

Amendment Manager is a tool within the Rave Architect module that helps you manage protocol amendments that occur during the lifecycle of a study.

This web-based training course teaches study builders how to roll out mid-study changes to existing subjects in the Rave system. The training includes demonstrations on planning for and executing eCRF migrations and reviews system configurations, migration-related best practices and commonly asked questions.

Attendees will learn to:
• Configure Amendment Manager settings
• Create a migration plan
• Conduct a dry run migration
• Perform a live migration

This course is taught on the latest released version of Rave.

Best Practices: Rave Amendment Manager

This course reviews and introduces best practices for performing CRF migration using the Amendment Manager tool. Through hands-on exercises, demonstrated examples, and distributed materials, attendees will learn best practices for:

  • Steps that should be taken when planning and conducting a migration
  • Details around expected results
  • Commonly faced issues
  • Troubleshooting
  • Publishing validations only

Note: For experienced migration users, this course serves as a review of best practices. A consultation with Professional Services can be arranged with your Medidata Project Manager to address specific issues not covered in class.

Best Practices: Rave Labs

This course reviews and introduces best practices for collecting lab data in Rave.

The workshop focuses on labs, and teaches best practices for when and how to implement the three lab-data-collection options in Rave. Attendees will learn best practices for:

  • Collecting lab data through manual data entry on standard eCRFs
  • Collecting lab data when using the Lab Administration module

One or more assessments are included as part of this course. Attendees must pass the assessment(s) to obtain credit for the course.

Business Objectives 4.1 (BO4) Workshop for Rave

In this BO4 Workshop, attendees are introduced to ad hoc reporting using the Business Objects reporting tool. The course provides Rave end users with the concepts required for basic ad hoc reporting using BO4. Attendees will learn how to access the Business Objects tool through Rave and will learn basic techniques necessary to create, run and view simple ad hoc reports.

The course will then progress into usage of the BO4 Web Intelligence tool and the data available in BO4 via the Rave Universe. Attendees will also learn how to publish BO4 reports in Rave.

Note: The latest version of Java must be installed on trainees’ computers for private classes.

Medidata Rave RTSM: Trial Supply Management

Medidata Rave RTSM: Trial Supply Management is recommended for Study Managers, Study Designers, Project Managers, CRA, Monitors, Supply Managers, Shipping Managers, and Depot Project Managers.

Through a mock study, the instructor will briefly go over how the Randomization Design affects how trial supplies management process, then will go over more in-depth discussion and hands-on exercises relating to creating supply plans, activating supply depots and study sites for shipping, uploading an inventory list, analyzing the inventory overview screens, and reviewing the shipment process.

Medidata Balance Randomization Design and Simulations

This class is a 4 hour Virtual Instructor-Led training that will walk through both randomization concepts with hands-on exercises, and analyze the simulated outputs based on the randomization design.
