Our Team: 

Our team is responsible for the Rave EDC, which is the cornerstone product of the Medidata Clinical Cloud. Our product is utilized for capturing, managing and reporting clinical research data in phase I-IV studies, and is designed to help life science companies optimize their research investments by efficiently streamlining the clinical trial process.

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking an Applications Engineer - UI (with backend experience) to help Medidata create amazing, cloud based, high performing web applications for our suite of products. You will design, implement, deploy and support our Rave EDC, which is the most advanced, robust, and secure EDC system for clinical trial site, patient, and lab data capture and management.

You are an energetic, motivated, hands-on developer with an open mind for the use of new technologies, passionate about building scalable solutions and will individually contribute in the following ways:

  • Be passionate about application development! Your primary responsibilities will include hands-on development of Medidata’s software applications with Javascript, React, Typescript, C#, Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Design, build, test, document, deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in a production environment.

  • Apply good technical practices such as continuous integration, test automation, and Github Pull Request reviews.

  • Work closely with Agile team members, collaborating with testers to ensure quality and with product managers to turn great ideas into detailed requirements

  • Be self motivated and eager to engage in high impact, challenging engineering problems while continuously raising the standard of quality in our products and services in a full solutions-oriented SaaS environment

Requirements (Education & Experience): 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

  • Experience with building JavaScript apps, and at least 1 years using React/Redux or similar SPA frameworks

  • Experience programming in React/Redux/Typescript (or similar SPA framework)

  • Experience with object-oriented design concepts

  • Experience with C#

  • Experience with MS SQL

  • Experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript

  • Experience developing cloud-based web applications or services

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment

  • Source control management (Git/Github) experience

  • TDD/BDD experience

  • Nice to have:  k8s and Docker

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $96,000 to $113,427.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
