Your Mission
To assist in financial activies for Medidata Solutions, including billing operations, invoicing and cash collections. To ensure success in this role, the candidate must be diligent, detail-oriented, and willing to adapt to a constantly fast-paced and changing environment. This role is critical to the success of the finance org. and its assistance in evaluating contract language, ensuring the accuracy of billing schedules, and accountable customer-facing communication on behalf of Medidata Solutions.
Key Competencies
Implements billing operations to maximize effectiveness and accuracy.
Audits the accuracy of billing information entered in the system and monitors the operation of the billing systems.
Develops solutions to billing issues and works with systems design to implement new features.
May work on billing projects with Billing Operations Mgmt.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Your Education & Experience:
College Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting 1+ years’ experience within the AR/Finance function Experience and competence in using integrated ERP software (particularly Workday) Quick learner and self-starter who has the ability to work independently or within a team environment Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong organizational skills Accustomed to working with deadlines Attention to Detail Experience with Microsoft products (i.e. Excel) ERP Experience: SalesConnect, Workday, Esker, Avalara in particular Creative thinking Ability to problem solve
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $55,500 to $70,204.
