Your Mission:

As a Deal Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our sales team for pricing competitiveness and deal structuring to put our teams in a better position to win

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales reps to understand customer and competitive dynamics
  • Proactively review quotes to ensure we are priced to win
  • Leverage analytical tools to identify quotes that need closer evaluation
  • Leverage analytical tools to ensure quotes and discounting are in line with historical wins
  • Support the commercial sales team in negotiation with the customer
  • Coordination of resources within sales and other departments in order to achieve objectives
  • Collaborate with sales operations, legal, and finance teams to ensure deal compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Represent Medidata in a manner consistent with company business principles and ethics
  • Incorporate competitive dynamics to ensure we are priced to win
  • Tie together adjustments into themes to incorporate into permanent standard pricing changes

Your Competencies:

  • Knowledge of life sciences industry including R&D, Clinical, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and IT functions
  • Strong business planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated success data analysis for sales pursuits

Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Tableau and Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in sales support or data analytics related roles 

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $80,250 to $107,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
