Your Mission:

We are seeking a digital marketing leader with broad marketing expertise and cross-functional experience to drive Medidata’s digital strategy and management. In this role, you will lead the Global Digital Marketing team, overseeing the planning, development, and execution of inbound and outbound digital marketing efforts including web properties, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), paid digital media, and other emerging online channels. 

  • Set strategic and operational plans for the digital marketing function, including objectives, success metrics, resources, budget, and prioritization of initiatives to maximize impact.

  • Manage the hiring, developing and retaining of marketing talent

  • Drive growth in traffic, engagement, and community size across all digital platforms

  • Test and optimize digital campaigns by message, channel, region and market segment; prioritize digital spend across paid channels based on priorities and what’s working well. 

  • Manage our corporate website to drive a strong brand presence and qualified leads, coordinating closely with Product Marketing, Communications, Marketing Operations and other internal stakeholders

  • Partner closely with corporate communications, marketing campaigns, and creative teams on  content and messaging to promote. 

  • Work closely with marketing operations team on full-funnel reporting and analytics of digital success metrics. 

  • Create best practices and earn adoption in North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Your Competencies:

  • Proven ability to build and deploy robust multi-channel digital plans with demonstrated growth and success.

  • Experience leading and managing teams

  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and successfully juggle multiple assignments at once with tight deadlines. 

  • Exceptional prioritization, problem-solving, and project management skills 

  • Superior communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans. 

  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind

  • Self-starter and ability to build programs from scratch

  • Proven skills and metrics that demonstrate growth across multiple digital platforms

Your Education & Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience in digital marketing, including prior experience leading a team

  • Strong B2B marketing experience in planning and executing cross channel digital marketing plans 

  • Experience in tech, life sciences industry, and/or clinical development area preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field 

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City.  As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.  Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $157,000 - $210,000. 

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of applicable plan documents, while many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
