Your Mission:

  • Perform system administrator activities for Medidata's Moodle/Totara Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Duties include:

  • Configuring new courses in learning system

  • Updating Existing Courses in learning system

  • Upload course materials, configuration of functionality such as complex curricula, cohorts, communications, surveys, reports, and notifications

  • Administering learning system audiences

  • Troubleshooting learning system issues

  • Analyze causes of problems; design solutions and take corrective action

  • System Administration support for LMS instance

  • Define, maintain, and execute test scripts

  • Identify user issues and implement fixes

  • Design and run LMS reports for management, program managers and instructional designers as requested

  • Work with the program managers and instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content

  • Performs testing to ensure courses/programs function properly once launched

  • Monitors learner inquiries (ZenDesk task queue) regarding either specific learning programs or general LMS questions, and either respond to resolve the inquiry or route them to the appropriate point of contact

  •  Develop and implement business requirements for LMS courses 

Your Competencies:

  • Four-year college degree required in a technical discipline, preferably computer science.

  • Experience working as a systems administrator on eLearning systems such as Moodle, Totara, SAP Success Factors, Saba Learning, or Cornerstone

  • Experience using eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline or Lectora

  • Proficiency in IT operations

  • Data analysis experience and use of query, reporting and reporting tools

  • Experience writing, editing, testing, and executing SQL and/or MySql scripts

  • Experience with web programming tools including HTML, XML and JavaScript

  • Good verbal / written communication skills; technical writing skills a plus

  • Strong commitment to high-quality customer service

  • Strong analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Data analysis

  • Training development

  • Customer service/helpdesk support including management of ticket/email responses

  • Project and task tracking

  • Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, including ability to integrate information from various resources

  • Familiarity interacting professionally with customers at all organizational levels

  • Project management

  • Technical editing experience

  • Ability to write clear and concise messages to communicate

  • Experience with online learning and web-based applications

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience designing pages and widgets

Your Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
