Your Mission: 

This role 

  • Builds market presence and accelerates growth of priority customer segments and new products for Medidata’s business

  • Works with your manager to build and maintain Marketing performance dashboards in Excel, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools on lead funnels, digital activities, campaign performance, events, etc. that you can slice-and-dice to understand key trends and insights. These reports will be used by Sales & Marketing leadership to understand our business, drive new opportunities, and accurately communicate marketing and sales effectiveness

  • Develops exploratory analyses against internal and 3rd party data sources

  • Helps turn data and analytics into narratives and stories for wider sharing and understanding

  • Develops documentation to capture reporting processes and business rules

  • Works with other teams in marketing (and in the larger Marketing group) to understand needs and how data solutions can provide real insight

Your Competencies: 

  • Support execution of Marketing analytical projects involving large amounts of data, statistical modeling / machine learning

  • Work across an interdisciplinary team to prioritize and coordinate tasks, monitor progress and issues, facilitate team meetings

  • Perform and share analyses to guide decision making

  • Participate in and support interactions within Medidata to collect business requirements and drive analysis buy-in

  • Coordinate and assist in the analysis design, optimize existing analytical process to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Help develop internal communication materials, translating and summarizing technical and analytical information for business audiences and developing key messaging

  • Prior experience with life science or technology industry is a plus but not required

  • Position is based in New York city

Your Education & Experience:

  • The minimum education level required (Bachelor’s, Master’s, etc.): Bachelor’s

  • The fields of study you would accept (Computer Science, I.T., etc.): Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, management information systems, operations research or related fields

  • Ability to manage work in teams of widely varying skills and levels

  • Familiarity with analytics concepts such as databases, programming, statistical modeling, machine learning, data visualization

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, great attention to detail

  • Advanced skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • Experience with SQL, R, SAS or Python

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $77,000 to $88,000. 

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
