The Program:
At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our talented and committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 22, 2023, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. United around a single goal of empowering smarter treatments and healthier people. Medidatians work in a culture of curiosity, innovation and fun. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.
Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.
The Position:
The intern will play a key role in supporting the execution of initiatives conducted by the Marketing Operations and Analytics team, with responsibilities touching on Marketing performance reporting and analysis, documentation, project management and training. The intern will be expected to participate in producing select Marketing reports and analyses, providing project management support for several initiatives and preparing documentation for specific processes.
Your Competencies:

Knowledge of SQL, R, SAS or Python is helpful

Requirements:
- Rising senior with one of the following fields of study: Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, Operations Research, Marketing or related fields
- Experience with MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and the Google platform
- Prior internship or work experience in a business setting
- Curiosity about operations within a global marketing organization
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the Google platform
- Interest in processes and project management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Precise attention to detail
- Proactive willingness to learn and contribute
Internship Project:

Prepare select Marketing reports to support performance management across Marketing, including development of dashboard.

Perform analyses as needed to address ad-hoc business needs.

Help maintain global campaigns, events and product-specific performance reporting documentation and training materials.

Maintain Global Marketing Operations Documentation Library.

Work on ad hoc projects and handle other duties as assigned

The intern will work most directly with individuals in the Marketing Operations and Analytics in support initiatives conducted by the overall Marketing team. This includes Digital Marketing, Campaigns & Programs and Field & Event Marketing among other areas.

This internship will require the use of the MS Office productivity suite, Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), project management tools, dashboards and select programming skills. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to develop communication and presentation skills and an improved understanding of various roles and responsibilities in the overall Marketing function.
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $25- $28 per hour with a $3500 sign on bonus.
