About the Team:

Within Readiness & Enablement, the Product Education and Enablement Specialist works cross-functionally to define and deliver Medidata platform journeys; enabling customer-facing teams to both configure studies and environments and empower customers to build and configure on their own. This audience includes both internal technical SMEs and those who directly educate, manage, and support our customers. This position requires the skillset and flexibility to develop strategic, engaging, impactful, and timely learning solution strategies and content to support new solution offering launches in a fast-paced environment with a global audience.

An experienced professional with a strong background in adult and technical learning theory and technology, a passion for education and improving the lives of patients, and a background in technical and regulated industries, combined with excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills, make for an ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope, design, develop, and deliver just-in-time role-specific enablement programs with targeted product knowledge and information.
  • Design content sourcing frameworks and processes to minimize rework and increase content production speed and efficiency.
  • Balance prioritization, timeline, risks, execution, communication, and conflict management for competing urgent priorities.
  • Ensure learners can demonstrate competency in product knowledge, and maintain training environments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and establish partnerships to ensure proper alignment and messaging.
  • Provide proactive communication and risk mitigation and track actionable feedback and metrics

  • 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience. Education and experience preferably in Life Science, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or other related fields.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of progressive enablement or consulting experience in Life Sciences, especially in the clinical trial process, and/or Technology industry or 4-6 years training and development experience.
  • + years of experience directly or indirectly managing project or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical drug development (e.g. Phases 1- 5, study start-up, study execution, study close) and clinical roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of FDA regulation, GCP, and ICH guidelines.
  • Experience with Medidata Clinical Cloud ideal
  • Experience working with Agile Software development teams in a fast-paced, software development environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project and time management skills. Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner. Proactive in risk management and communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
  • Proficient in one or more of the following tools: Camtasia, Articulate 360 suite

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is  $96,000 to $128,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is  $101,250 to $135,000.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $94,500 to $126,000.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $84,375 to $112,500.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $85,500 to $114,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
