Our Team: 

The Platform Services team powers key components that span Medidata software, providing every user with their first impression when they access the Medidata Clinical Cloud. We offer UI and API tools to enable customers to get their study structure set up swiftly and move on to the business of conducting their research.

Who we're looking for: 

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to deliver next-generation tools for managing the foundations of clinical trials and to collaborate with the product leaders, user experience designers, architects, engineers, and testers throughout Medidata's portfolio to ensure those tools are meeting their needs.

  • Ensure solutions provide business value and delight users

  • Define product roadmaps

  • Document business goals, requirements, risks, acceptance criteria, and implementation considerations

  • Be recognized as the subject matter expert for products and services

  • Proven track record of defining, launching and iterating best-in-class user-facing digital products

  • Demonstrated strengths in analytical thinking and problem solving

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence in a matrixed environment

  • Able to define iterative releases and rollout to gradually provide customer value on the way to achieving future vision

  • Understand end to end business use cases

  • Create epics and user stories and lead story mapping to develop functionality

  • Lead sprint planning and grooming

  • Coordinate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on delivery of product features

  • Prioritize backlog for new feature and enhancement development 

  • Balance defect and technical debt resolution against new work

Requirements (Education & Experience):

  • 4+ years experience as a product manager 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Experience with user experience and business process development

  • Experience conveying technical concerns to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working with diverse teams of engineers and designers within an Agile framework.

  • Life Sciences experience preferred

  • Knowledge of clinical trial business processes and systems preferred

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,750 to $137,725.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of applicable plan documents, while many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
