Medidata AI is looking for data scientists who will help us tackle some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary Medidata AI platform and advanced analytics. In this role, you will research and develop statistical models. At Medidata AI, we never work alone. This role will partner heavily with all of the key stakeholder functions including Product, Data Science, Engineering, Partnerships and Biostatistics. Successful candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata’s journey of powering smarter treatments and healthier people.
Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers. Level Description - Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives. Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules. Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules. Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors (e.g., technicians, designers, support personnel). Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Solve some of the most complex problems in healthcare, translating complex data into meaningful insights
- Analyze and formulate data privacy metrics specifically differential privacy
- Design, develop and validate statistical models for novel medical applications.
Areas of team focus include Clinical Trial analytics
- Provide support functions around model-building, including data cleaning and code review
- Ability to understand and peer review complex, multivariable statistical models and data analytics solutions using machine learning algorithms
- Ability to work independently on complicated projects
Salary Transparency Language for NYC based roles:
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,750-$153,00
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,500-$162,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $113,250-$151,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,250-$135,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,750-$137,000
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
