About the Team:
Reporting to our Client Services Principal within the Medidata Professional Services team, the Senior Engagement Director is responsible for the relationship management of a global tier 1 account based in EMEA. You will manage Medidata resources on day-to-day and wider operational activities, ensuring delivery of complex projects and services on time, to quality and within budget.
We are looking for technical experience of Medidata systems and products to support a dedicated team of SMEs within our global client. Working with key stakeholders across Medidata, the role will be central to owning and expanding client relationships, operating within client governance structures. You will be the primary contact and escalation point where resolution of complex issues is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated delivery team of Medidata SMEs across multiple projects and daily activities
- Work with Sales leads to identify new business opportunities - support sales activity within your market segment and review sales orders and change orders
- Use technical knowledge and our SME network to identify and lead on process improvements
- Lead program governance, and manage the professional services relationship with the customer
- Lead complex projects and stakeholders through multiple projects and programs – ensure documentation is tracked
- Manage client expectations and communications, to ensure overall client satisfaction
- Manage project scope and financials including forecasting, project budget, and accuracy of invoicing
- Manage work requests with other departments
- Document minutes/action items during client and internal meetings; conduct appropriate follow-up
- Identify potential risks and plan appropriate mitigation; manage issues and lead appropriate resolution
- Assure compliance with Medidata's standard project management methodologies and quality management systems
- Coach new and junior team members
Competencies:
- A track record of working in an advisory capacity
- Can anticipate and mitigate complex issues and risks, minimising escalations
- Experience as mentor to other team members and serve in a team leader capacity
- Can identify and suggest improvements which increase the value proposition for Medidata and the client
- A clear understanding of clinical research (pharma/device/biotech) and of clinical research SaaS technology
- Experience leading project teams and meeting project timelines
- Experience creating and delivering presentations
Qualifications:
- Experience with Medidata Systems and Products, or similar solutions
- Fluent in French (preferred but not essential)
- IT project management in clinical/biomedical or software development environments
- Travel expectations up to 20%, domestic and international
