What Will Your Role Be?

As a Senior Manager of Facilities, you are a trusted leader welcoming challenges as opportunities to provide positive outcomes. You are self-assured, self-directed, and capable of managing a team locally and virtually throughout Canada and the United States. You will inspire teams and individuals alike, in delivering successful results for multiple complex projects with competing deliverables and timelines. You exude positivity under pressure and channel chaos into energizing results. The ideal candidate will help strengthen our comprehensive Americas Real Estate and Facilities strategy through empowered engagement activities with senior leadership and key stakeholders regionally and worldwide. This position is a functional leader overseeing a team of 5+ facilities specialists and project managers, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Real Estate & Facilities, North America, East.

What will your job be like?

  • Delivering successful corporate real estate and facilities projects throughout fourteen locations, encompassing 1.5M SQF, and serving 3,700 employees
  • Developing concise pre/post-construction sourcing, permitting, construction, inspection, and post-occupancy materials
  • Leading internal and external vendors, project managers, and onsite staff through permitting, certificate of occupancy, employee move in, and day two activities
  • Liaising with business units, senior management, human resources, legal counsel, brokers, and vendors to ethically and collectively achieve successful project outcomes
  • Aligning to OPEX and CAPEX budgets in developing and managing all project budgets
  • Influencing without authority across the organization including executive, functional leadership, and stakeholder engagement to achieve results
  • Complying with building codes, OSHA, health and safety standards, health & safety risk assessments, identifying potential areas of risk, developing, and implementing corrective action plans
  • Collaborating and collectively supporting sustainability including, utility monitoring, reporting, and implementation of usage reduction programs
  • Bringing your unique leadership qualities and industry expertise to develop your team and create growth opportunities

Position Requirements

  • Five years of progressive leadership experience within a global organization
  • Possessing a strong work ethic with high standards of accuracy and consistency
  • Excellence in preparing and delivering within executive-level environments including presentations and discussions
  • Instilling confidence in others and providing course corrections for optimal performance
  • Experience managing & providing services to a geographically diverse portfolio
  • Ability to motivate teams and generate respect and trust from staff and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of building maintenance standards, operational management, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems
  • BA or BS in Facilities Management, Business Management or related discipline or equivalent education plus experience managing real estate and facilities projects

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City.  As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.  Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $85,500-$114.000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of applicable plan documents, while many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
