About the Team:

The Senior Manager of Site Partnerships and Insights will play a critical leadership role in aggregating and utilizing insights obtained via the company's strategic alliances, partnerships, and market sector. You will work closely with the sales, professional services, market intelligence, and business development teams to identify new business opportunities, enhance strategic relationships, and foster a deeper understanding of industry trends across the enterprise. This role requires an innovative, results-driven leader with deep expertise in both life sciences and technology. The ideal candidate will have the ability to cultivate strong relationships with partners and customers, and a data-driven approach to leverage industry insights for strategic growth. You will be reporting to the VP of Research Site Engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish Strategic Site Partnerships:

    • Lead the development and execution of research site programs leveraging strategic partnerships and alliances within the life sciences industry.

    • Identify, cultivate, and engage key relationships with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, biotech firms, and other key players in the Medidata ecosystem.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, and professional services) to align business objectives with site partnership opportunities.

  1. Industry Insights & Market Intelligence:

    • Lead efforts to gather, analyze, and interpret industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities to drive site insights strategy.

    • Work closely with partner and industry SMEs to translate site and patient insights into actionable strategies that inform product development and innovation and improvement.

    • Serve as lead resource to the Social Impact & Experience team for life sciences and tech industry developments, particularly in areas related to digital health, data analytics, AI, and clinical trials.

  1. Sales & Services Support:

    • Partner with sales & professional services teams to tailor opportunities to engage SMEs based on partner ecosystems, industry, and product development needs.

    • Provide sales & PS teams to create custom approaches to support their customer acquisition and retention strategies, utilizing site insights opportunities and activities.

    • Liaise with the sales and professional services teams on new Social Impact & Experience opportunities to increase sales effectiveness.

  1. Thought Leadership & Representation:

    • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and customer meetings, serving as a subject matter expert on product integration of site insights.

    • Lead the creation of whitepapers, case studies, and thought leadership content that demonstrates the Social Impact & Experience team’s expertise and innovation.

  1. Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Develop metrics and KPIs to track the success of all strategic partnership activities and initiatives.

    • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on the status of existing partnerships, market trends, and opportunities as it relates to engaging with the Social Impact & Experience team.

    • Continuously assess and refine partnership strategies to ensure alignment with overall company goals and market demands.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles, with a strong track record in the life sciences, healthcare, or technology sectors.

    • Proven experience driving collaboration between sales, professional services, and product development.

    • Deep knowledge of the life sciences industry, including trends, challenges, and regulatory environments, with a focus on technology’s impact on the sector.

    • Experience working with both B2B and B2C partnerships in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

  • Business Acumen: In-depth understanding of sales processes, professional services operations, and how to leverage partnerships to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Negotiation & Influence: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-makers both internally and externally.

 The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $120,750 - $161,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
