The Sr. VP of Patient Cloud Operations will report directly to the CEO of Patient Cloud and will be responsible for translating global business priorities into operational tactics to direct the business to achieve financial and strategic goals. They will participate as a member of the Patient Cloud executive management team and with other top executive positions at Medidata and Dassault Systemes to help formulate current and long-range strategies and objectives for Medidata’s growing patient centricity and healthcare business.  This role will require significant customer interaction as well as internal  responsibility for overseeing all the business unit’s operational areas directly related to delivering products to market, including product development/engineering, product marketing and liaising to the sales and finance leadership teams and to the Medidata Executive Committee made up of EVP department heads across the company.

The successful team member will:

  • Define and communicate strategic objectives across multiple corporate verticals and functional teams. 

  • Partner with Senior Leadership, Product, Technology, Legal, and other teams to assess alliance and other expansion opportunities that support Patient Cloud.

  • Provide financial oversight and insight into the business P&L, long-range forecasting and balancing of resources against hiring and roadmap objectives.

  • Establish metrics to assess the impact of team resourcing and rebalancing when required

  • Lead and coordinate internal resources around strategic alliances to drive alliance execution and growth

  • Collaborate with both Medidata functions and the Dassault Systemes’ Corporate Development team for mergers and acquisitions.

  • Ability to build internal and external relationships across a variety of functional areas

  • Demonstrated project management skills and success in delivering complex, cross-functional projects

  • Ability and Willingness to travel

Your Education & Experience:

●  A minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for this position that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is  $266,250 - $355,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
