About the Team:

Medidata Solution Consultant (pre-sales) assists Sales Representatives in the presentation, demonstration, and sale of Medidata applications and services. The Solution Consultant is the application and technical lead for assigned sales activities and supports the sales team with account strategies. The Solution Consultant is also the lead Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect in customer-facing events. Work with important partners within the Sales account to establish and deliver joint account strategy. Your role is intended to focus on long-term success by mapping out mutual wins and directing operational teams towards delivery, and evangelizing new aspects of how our products can further benefit the partner.


Your role is based in Singapore, will cover S.E.A, A&NZ and India.

  • Understand the customer's operational processes and objectives. Identify their challenges. Be the trusted advisor to the customer on our solution offerings and how they bring value and improvements to their processes.
  • Good Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect for clinical industry events and share the latest trends of clinical industry and technology.
  • Close partnership with Sales to co-manage pre-sales activities. Formulate strategy for new accounts penetration and maintaining existing customers. Build customer relationships ensuring customer success.
  • Prepare and perform product demonstrations. Lead technical discussions on our applications and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on seminars, trade shows and marketing activities. Be the subject matter experts and present in these events.
  • Help complete technical proposals for the customer. Assist Sales and Marketing to review technical documents. Ensure smooth handover and collaborate with Professional Services team after sales.
  • Be knowledgeable and up to date on our products and solutions. Familiar with current industry clinical trials trends, markets, and development. Provide product and market updates to internal staff and customers.
  • Support clients in Singapore, A&NZ and India.


  • Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in clinical trials development, life sciences, IT enterprise systems preferred or equivalent.
  • Customer-facing skills and track record.
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects
  • Passionate with responsibility
  • Good command of business level English required. English fluently in communication and presentation.

Preference if you have one of these skills (but not mandatory):

  • Experience in pre-sales of Life Sciences, SaaS or Cloud-based enterprise software
  • Exposure to clinical data or scientific data systems management or applications.
  • Experience supporting clients in Singapore/Southeast Asia/Australia

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
