Your Mission: 

We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Market Intelligence Analyst with a specialized focus on financial analysis to join our Market Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating financial aspects of the Clinical Trials market, analyzing competitor financial performance, and providing key insights to inform strategic decision-making. This includes assisting with go-to-market strategy and building new models to evaluate the competitiveness of our company and products in target markets. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough financial analysis of the Clinical Trials industry, tracking market trends, growth drivers, and investment patterns to provide actionable insights.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor financial statements, annual reports, and SEC filings to assess financial health, profitability, and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to aggregate and integrate relevant financial data, internal performance metrics, and external market indicators.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including revenue, market share, profitability, and return on investment (ROI).
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts that support strategic planning, pricing strategies, adoption rates and revenue projections.
- Analyze pricing strategies and competitive positioning within the Clinical Trials SaaS market to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Present financial findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including executives and product teams, to guide decision-making processes.
- Assist in the development of financial benchmarks and performance indicators to measure the success of product initiatives and market expansion efforts.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align financial insights with go-to-market strategies and customer engagement tactics.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 3 or more years of experience in financial analysis, market research, or competitive intelligence roles, preferably within the healthcare, life sciences, or Clinical Trials industry.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and investment analysis.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analyzing business performance and operations data.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear and concise recommendations.
- Proven experience with visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBi, Looker, Qlikview, etc… to simply and effectively showcase data insights.
- Ability to create new models and hypotheses from available data sets while refining existing models.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights and modeling process to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with go-to-market strategies, benchmarking, and pricing and packaging initiatives a plus.
- Knowledge of SaaS products and pricing structures, healthcare informatics, or technology platforms is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to situations in which not all variables are known, and creative solutions are needed.

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $96,000-128,000. 
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $101,250-135,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $94,500-126,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $84,375-112,500.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $85,500-114,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
