Job Description:
Your Mission:
As the Vice President, Head of Brand Marketing, you will report to the SVP, Head of Medidata & LSE Marketing, and lead a team comprised of Marketing Strategy, Creative Services, External & Internal Communications, and Analyst Relations in support of the Medidata brand and Life Science Engagement (LSE) portfolio of brands. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of brand strategies that reinforce our market-leading position as an innovator and trailblazer in the digitization of life sciences.

Own the Medidata brand positioning and strategy, reinforcing who are we and how we show up in the market including PR, media and analysts, and leading the charge to discover where we want to be, and how we get there

Collaborate with Campaigns & Programs team to supply expertise and guidance on brand positioning strategy, ensuring the Medidata brand, its identity, proof points, value proposition, pillars, and goals are clear and impactful throughout all marketing activities

Conduct market research to inform content and messaging creation that increases brand awareness and differentiates Medidata from competitors

Lead our visual identity refresh and develop a bold new brand story, highlighting the value of the Medidata platform, data story, industry solutions, and LSE portfolio

Establish strategy and plans within each functional area of the brand marketing team, ensuring clear objectives and success metrics are defined in support of the business

Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Branding, or related field

Minimum 14 years of advanced brand marketing and strategy development experience in an agency or in-house environment

Prior experience leading a 10-15 person team and managing $1M+ budgets

B2B brand marketing experience ideally in tech, life sciences industry, and/or clinical development area preferred
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $216,000 to $288,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
