About the Team:

As a Senior Solution Consultant you will report to the Solution Consulting Manager within a small team based in the US, assisting the sales activities of the Mid Market sales team as a trusted clinical and technical expert. You will develop relationships with internal colleagues and customers to contribute to strategic planning, opportunity discovery conversations, solution presentations and demonstrations and respond to customer requests. Your role is a fully remote position but you may be required to travel to a Medidata office or a customer’s office at times.

Responsibilities:

  • You will participate in assigned account planning and strategy for successful adoption of the full range of Medidata products
  • You will conduct discovery sessions to define customer's critical business issues and use the knowledge to position the value of the Medidata platform
  • You will prepare and deliver value-based presentations to all levels of the customer organization, this will also include standard and customized product demonstrations
  • You will understand customer technical infrastructure and business processes to help become a "trusted advisor"
  • You will be responsible for the technical strategy internally with the sales team and externally align with customer executives on joint execution plans to ensure successful workshops/ proof of concepts/pilots and other evaluations
  • You will collaborate with other groups within Medidata such as Business Development, Marketing and Professional Services team to ensure customers.
  • Your role will involve travel within the US

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in the Life Sciences, Engineering, Business or Computer Science preferred, other relevant education or equivalent years of experience in the clinical trials sector
  • Requires solid experience in life sciences industry, clinical trials and/or medical/clinical operations or equivalent experience

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $116,750-$154,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
