Medidata says it is developing sophisticated software solutions (that work with supporting hardware) that enable ‘virtual trials’ and remote participation, which drastically reduces the burden to participate and provides a larger pool of patients to ‘recruit’ data from. It also fuels a greater volume and variation of data that more accurately reflects the patient population to then base drug development decisions upon — and that’s a good thing, obviously.
