NEW YORK, NY – May 2, 2007 – Executives from Medidata Solutions, a global provider of electronic clinical data capture, management and reporting solutions, have been selected to present at worldwide industry events on key topics including late phase trials and CDISC. Medidata Solutions will participate at the following industry conferences this month:
SMi’s 2007 Phase IV Conference,
Maximizing the Value of Post-Marketing Studies
May 23–24, 2007, London, UK
Chairperson: Hugh P. Levaux, Ph.D., Vice President of Product Strategy
May 23, 2007
Speaker: Brian Leiser, Vice President of Late Phase Strategy
Session Title: “The Benefits and Drawbacks of EDC in Late Phase Studies”
May 24, 2007 at 1:50 p.m.
As chairperson of the first day of the conference, Levaux will lead speakers in educating the industry on EDC within Phase IV studies. In Leiser’s presentation, he will discuss the core competencies needed to implement EDC in late phase studies, enhancing the collaborative relationship with investigators, streamlining safety monitoring and surveillance and providing early visibility to market opportunities through registries.
Overall, this year’s conference will address key concerns in a practical forum around meeting safety, scientific, regulatory and commercial goals; managing costs in Phase IV studies; aggregating and integrating data; making best use of technologies like electronic data capture; and capturing and interpreting patient reported outcomes effectively.
ViB’s 7th Annual e-Clinical Trials 2007
May 23–24, 2007, London, UK
Speaker: Graham Bunn, Vice President of Global CRO Partnerships
Session Title: “CDISC: Examining the Latest Practical Experiences and End-to-End Data Standardization”
May 23, 2007 at 9:15 a.m.
Session Title: “Is EDC the Next CDMS?”
May 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
This year’s event will cover all the major topics surrounding EDC and other e-Clinical technologies, while looking carefully at how to integrate a range of systems for a successful e-Clinical program. As a featured speaker, Bunn will deliver two presentations on the first day of the conference. Addressing the current status of CDISC standards, activities and models, Bunn will provide attendees with a comprehensive view on understanding the future business opportunities and strategies for CDISC while examining a hands-on experience of adapting and integrating CDISC models into e-Clinical systems.
In his second presentation, Bunn will illustrate how CDMS has traditionally worked as the primary system for the data manager—and how this is changing. He will discuss how EDC can be considered the next logical evolution of CDMS.
