Access for All

Access for All

At Medidata, we are committed to ensuring that all patients have access to treatment by breaking barriers and challenging norms in order to improve access to comprehensive, quality services. With a concentration in diversity in clinical trials, drug repurposing, and patient advocacy we are creating a better world for patients.

Drug Repurposing

Through our partnership with Cures Within Reach and the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network, Medidata is a strong supporter of finding cost effective solutions for patients.  We believe that drug repurposing will help the thousands of patients that are impacted by rare diseases.  From our partnerships in our Social Innovation Lab to our products such as Rave Omics software, we are making an impact for patients.

Hackathon and Our Products

Hackathon and Our Products

Diversity in Clinical Trials was featured in the 2018 NEXT NYC Hackathon. This was the first time Medidata themed one of its hackathons. Janna Andrews, M.D. briefed participants on the history and importance of this topic. Dr. Andrews is a Radiation Oncologist who founded Kicked It In Heels, a non-profit organization that serves black female breast cancer survivors. Our very own Christopher Warner also provided some background on the initiatives at Medidata.

The winning team was from Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceutical. As a follow-up, they will participate in a joint session with members of the Medidata Hackathon and DICT Steering committee to further develop their idea.

SCRS Partnership

SCRS Partnership

Medidata is a proud sponsor of the The Society of Clinical Research Sites (SCRS). SCRS was founded in 2012 in response to the growing need for a global organization representative of the needs of clinical research sites globally. Given the tens of thousands of site relationships Medidata has established, we have a vested interest in using our unique position and resources to further the mission and objectives of SCRS.

Patient Advocacy

Patient’s are at the core of our mission which is why we partner with patient advocacy organizations across the globe.  Our relationships with the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society amongst many others help us drive our impact and incorporate our patients into our strategy.  In 2019, we are launching a Patient Advocacy Steering committee to further integrate the patient into our business.
