Fast Track Systems Announces CDISC Team Award Recipient

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chief Technology Officer Cited for Contributions to Trial Design Standards

CONSHOHOCKEN, P.A. – March 3, 2008 – Fast Track Systems, Inc., a pioneer developer of tools for clinical-trial design, collaboration and communication, is pleased to announce the recognition of its Chief Technology Officer, Peter Abramowitsch, by the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC), which has recognized the efforts of Mr. Abramowitsch and his colleagues with one of its 2007 Team Awards for protocol representation.

"Fast Track Systems couldn't be more proud of Peter's efforts to further the development of the CDISC-sponsored universal, open-source data standard for representing clinical research protocols. We are already seeing the benefits of his efforts to further the CDISC trial design data standards, particularly in terms of greater confidence among end-users to adopt the tools needed to create extensible, modeled protocols," said Ed Seguine, Fast Track Systems CEO. "There is little doubt that more widespread use of extensible protocols, which offer clinical research sponsors the ability to improve the fidelity of clinical research knowledge transfer throughout their organizations, reducing wasted efforts, will better channel precious R&D funds to where they can do the most good."

"The emerging trial design standards being developed by CDISC are truly a collaborative effort, and I am excited to be a part of this ground-breaking activity," commented Peter. He noted that the accomplishments of the protocol representation group will have direct and long-lasting effects that will benefit clinical trialists and the vendors that serve them.

Fast Track Systems will be demonstrating Designer XCP, its tool for creating extensible clinical protocols, at the 23rd Annual DIA Conference and Exhibition: Data Management in Transition: Putting the "e" in Data Management to be held March 16th through 18th, 2008 at the JW Marriott hotel in Washington, DC. See the DIA's website for the latest information.
