NEW YORK, NY – March 27, 2006 – Medidata Solutions, a global provider of electronic clinical data capture, management and reporting solutions, today announced the participation of three of its top executives in two key upcoming industry events. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ed Ikeguchi will be chairing a session at Bio-IT World’s Life Sciences Conference and Expo, to be held April 3–5, 2006 in Boston. At the same time, Vice President of Development Keith Howells will be speaking and Chief Technology Officer Glen de Vries will be leading a panel discussion with Medidata customers at the EDC and Beyond Conference, held in conjunction with the IIR’s Partnerships with CROs, on April 3–5, 2006 in Las Vegas.

Ikeguchi will be chairing a discussion within the E-Clinical Research and Trials track on “Progress on Standards and Interoperability” at the Bio-IT World Life Sciences Conference and Expo on April 4 at 11 a.m. In this presentation, Ikeguchi will lead industry executives in a discussion on various topics including semantic interoperability between clinical research and healthcare, conditioning the industry for an interoperability platform and progress reporting on standards.

At the IIR’s 10th Annual EDC and Beyond event, Howells will present on April 4 at 2:45 p.m. on “EDC Grows Up: Can Your System Scale When All Trials Are Electronic?” Addressing scalability requirements for the broad adoption of EDC, Howells will highlight EDC solutions that have the ability to manage all studies in a single system and support real-time reporting.

On April 5, the second day of the EDC and Beyond conference, de Vries will moderate a panel discussion entitled, “Interfacing with EDC—When Do I Need to Integrate and What’s the Right Way to Do It?” at 3:30 p.m. de Vries will lead the panel that includes Medidata customers as they evaluate architectural approaches to interfacing EDC with up and downstream systems and discuss real-world examples of successful EDC integrations.

At both conferences, Medidata Solutions will be showcasing Rave 5.5, a new version of its clinical data capture, management and reporting solution. Rave 5.5 demonstrations will be held at Medidata’s booths, #147 at the Bio-IT World Life Sciences Conference and Expo and #325 at IIR’s Partnerships for CROs event.
