Record Growth in 2005 Positions Company as Finalist for
Best Overall Company Category in Stevie® Awards Competition
NEW YORK, NY – May 17, 2006 – Medidata Solutions, a global provider of electronic clinical data capture, management and reporting solutions, was named a Finalist today in the Best Overall Company category in The 2006 American Business Awards.
Medidata Solutions was chosen as a finalist for the company’s significant accomplishments in 2005, including a 181 percent increase in year-over-year revenue due to significant customer wins, new product enhancements to its Rave electronic clinical data management solution, and continued global expansion with new offices and executive appointments in Asian and European markets.
The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 800 executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio.
More than 1,500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Medidata Solutions will be competing in the Best Overall Company category for the Computer Software industry for companies of up to 2,500 employees.

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners this week from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in March through early May. The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.
