NEW YORK, NY – May 16, 2006 – Medidata Solutions, a global provider of electronic clinical data capture, management and reporting solutions, today announced that Graham Bunn, Vice President of Strategic Alliances, will be speaking at the ViB’s Sixth Annual E-Clinical Trials Conference, to be held May 23–24, 2006 in London. Dr. Bunn will also be participating in a panel of industry experts during the pre-conference workshop to be held on May 22, 2006. This event is designed to address practical ways of efficiently and successfully incorporating electronic systems into clinical trials.

During his presentation, “Re-assessing the Business Drivers and Strategies for the Integration and Implementation of E-Clinical Systems,” on Tuesday, May 23 at 9:10 a.m., Dr. Bunn will outline ideas, motivations and strategies for companies deploying eclinical solutions. As the first speaker of the day one session, “Re-exploring the Objectives and Benefits of Electronic Clinical Systems,” Dr. Bunn will also discuss the ROI that can be achieved by implementing electronic trials and how these technologies can aid in business decisions on projects or outsourcing activities.

On Monday, May 22, Dr. Bunn will participate in the pre-conference workshop, “Optimizing the Process of Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness of an E-Clinical Trial,” led by David Dworaczyk of King Pharmaceuticals. The workshop will include perspective from various pharmaceutical industry thought-leaders and will address the challenges and concerns companies face in EDC implementation procedures.

Dr. Graham Bunn is an industry luminary and early pioneer of EDC technologies, bringing more than 15 years of experience delivering strategic electronic data capture and management solutions to pharmaceutical companies worldwide. He joined Medidata in November of 2005 and is responsible for developing and managing relationships with various partners and supporting the sales and delivery of Medidata products and services in Europe and in other regions. He also plays a leading role in Medidata’s ASPire to Win program in Europe, a non-exclusive application service provider (ASP) partnership and business model which enables CROs to become Medidata Rave-certified and generate new revenue streams through Medidata’s comprehensive electronic clinical technology. Prior to joining Medidata, Dr. Bunn served as global vice president of e-clinical business development at Quintiles, a leading contract research organization providing a range of pharmaceutical services. After spending 10 years in various IT, business solutions and pre-sales roles at Quintiles in the 1990s, Bunn returned to Quintiles in 2001 to lead its global implementation of EDC technology and develop e-clinical processes.
