Medidata’s Dianne Yurek and Ana Oromendia Honored by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association

NEW YORK - May 20, 2020 - Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes company, is pleased to announce that Dianne Yurek was named a "Luminary” and Ana Oromendia a "Rising Star” by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).

Yurek and Oromendia were honored for  their exemplary leadership, commitment to excellence in the workplace, impact as role models, and inspiration to other women in healthcare. These qualities have even more significance today, given the need for business resiliency and connectedness during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luminary - Dianne Yurek, vice president of corporate marketing, joined Medidata in February 2017 to elevate the company’s reputation and thought leadership through corporate communications, branding, creative services, and events. She is currently leading business transformation projects that optimize operational and business value. Known as a change champion, Yurek is an intuitive life science professional with a passion for developing diverse, high performing teams. Her 20-year career in pharma and health tech spans clinical development and commercial operations globally. Yurek holds a BS in Mathematics from Stockton College, and an MS in Statistics and an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University. 

Rising Star - Ana Oromendia, director of Product for Value Discovery, Acorn AI, by Medidata: Oromendia is responsible for the development of scientific data and analytics tools to improve the efficiency and rigor of therapeutic development processes. She has redirected her career as a bench scientist to building scientific software products, joining Medidata to expand the Medidata platform to incorporate translational data and support the personalization of clinical development. Oromendia is passionate about using technology to assist scientists in  discovery, and inspiring others, particularly young women and underrepresented populations, to pursue STEM careers. Oromendia holds a BS in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota and a PhD in molecular genetics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
